Text changes on different layers...?

Flash Noob here...

I'll enter a bit of text in layer 4, then have it move aside, when text on layer 7 slides in.

The problem I'm having is when I edit the text on layer 7, it changes on layer 4 as well, and vice versa.

These are supposed to be two completely different statments. Why does Flash do this? and how can I fix it?

I've done small projects like this a dozen times and they all work fine...except this one.

You are likely using the same library object for both places, so if you edit it, you edit all uses of it.?Create a new one from scratch and you shouldn't have that problem.

HA! you're right. Using ''tween 8'' for both.
