Cannot Retrieve Page From Server

This is driving me nutso

This is robohelp server 7.

When trying to publish our test site, we're getting the error that I've attached.

Basically, it says: cannot retrieve page from server...status:500

I can browse to the site. Just can't get robo to publish.

Is it a permission problem...a service not running...something else?

Thanks

?Doug

Cannot Retrieve Page From Server

Hi there

Out of curiosity, why did you choose to attach the image as opposed to using the Camera icon to insert it inline?

I'm very curious because it seems everyone seems to choose operate that way.

We've been getting no help from adobe support and all they ask for

is a screen print, so thats what we have.

Doug

Yeah, unfortunately we are seeing a lot of folks stating that support isn't exactly helpful.

Wish I had something to offer here but I'm not all that RoboHelp Server savvy. Hopefully John, Colum or one of the other Server users will have something to offer.

Hi Doug.

That error message is issued by IIS not the RH Server and is VERY unhelpful as it is non-specific. However in this instance it is normally a permissions issue. Follow the advice mentioned in this link to see if this solves it.

Do you know if RoboPublish is actual group? They mention it in that link you sent me to,

but I wasn't sure if that was a real group or not.

Doug

I can't say for sure Doug as I was never a RH Server 7 user. I managed to skip that version. However as John mentioned it, I doubt he would have got it wrong. Are you saying you haven't got it?

Correct, we don't have it. I just don't know if our server people forgot to add it or not.

I'll double check with them.

Doug
