all of a sudden I cant place pdf files...

it seem that this happend after I installed/updated acrobat? or after I installed CS4??I get an error message that I never received before; ''do not know how place this file'', then I can select file type. I can place pdf files in the same document that hasnt been saved in the new acrobat version, anyone knows what I shall do?

Pagemaker is ancient will only accept ver 1.4 so save back to ''Can be opened with Acrobat 5 or later'' when using your current version of Acrobat (or amend your Distiller joboptions).

If you have CS4, use InDesign instead.

I produce stuff in Pagemaker and CS4 at the same time until I trust CS4 fully, there are a few things cs4 doesnt do that pagemaker does,?I use a ''tagged'' import that specifies style and images and that works in pagemaker but not in indesign!

Personally, I'd trust CS4 over PM, and what is it that PM can do that CS4 can't??It isn't accept recent PDFs!
