Hi. I'm using LR2.4 on Mac OSX 10.5.8. I print a lot of 4x6 prints to give away, using 8.5x11 paper. In the LR print Module, I can lay out two 4x6's in the contact sheet/grid mode, but that wastes a lot of paper. I'd like to get 3 prints per page, two oriented in one direction, and one in the other. Hey, I'm cheap.
I found I can lay out three 4x6's using the Picture Package feature, but it only seems to allow me to print three of the same picture. I want to print three ''different'' 4x6 images on a single sheet of 8.5x11 paper.
Is there a way to do this, so I can bang out a bunch of 4x6's and save paper? (I used to do this with Qimage on a Windows platform, but Qimage doesn't work on a Mac).
Thanks, Lou
Creating a Picture Package in LR??Here is a quote from a prior posting:
I have found a solution at the question: “Is it possible to create a print that has different images of different sizes?”
In the Print module to select a Template of kind “Picture Package”, for example the first “(1) 4×6, (6) 2×3”. In the box Cells, on the right, click on button “Clear Layout”. In the box Template Browser, on the left, click on symbol + to create a new preset with name “Book Layout” and save it. Close Lightroom. In the preference folder of LR, open Print Templates folder and then open User Template folder. Open with an EditorText the preset “Book Layout”; find at bottom of file the line code “oneImagePerPage = true” and to change the value “true” with the value “false”. Save and close the file. Open Lightroom and select the preset “Book Layout”. In the box Cells, on the right, select different empty cells of different sizes and then to select the photos on the filmstrip. In the box Image setting, on the right, check Rotate to Fit option and uncheck Zoom to Fill option. Click on a photo and resize and move. The button New Page adds a new empty page to insert other photos.

I have not tried it but it shows up in LR Killer Tips website so others seem to have made it work.

Creating a Picture Package in LR??Thanks, Jeff.
That worked great. Creating a ''blank'' template using the picture package, then editing the template with a text editor, provides the extra flexibility of assembling any layout you want. Just what I was looking for.

Jim,
Picture Package is designed for mulitple copies of the same image on one page. It's literally for pro photographers printing the same image in different sizes for clients.
Matt Kloskowski did a video on hacking this to get more than one image on his blog.
